Fassnight Creek Greenway is a 1.2 mile multi-use east-west trail in the heart of Springfield, about a mile southwest of Missouri State University. The paved trail meanders right alongside the eponymous creek, stretching from Utah Ave. to behind the Springfield Skate Park. It snakes through Fassnight Park, 28 acres of active and passive recreation space. The popular park was built in the 1930s as part of WPA and features impressive stone work incorporating local Ozark limestone. Charming stone bridges over a tranquil creek in a verdant setting create a postcard perfect image. Stepping off the trail, trail users will find restrooms, open shelters, picnic tables and sports facilities, including swimming and wading pools.

Nice little trail. Fassnight park can be a little rowdy but that is only a small fraction of the trail and it depends on when you travel through. The second half was definitely my favorite.

Such a pleasant trail for families to ride bikes and walk. Clean, and some fun exploring in the creek, neat bridges and rock steps.
