The Good Link Trail is a 4.8-mile multiuse pathway in Grand Prairie, Texas. The trail is anchored by two parks on either end: Mike Lewis Park in the north and C.P. Waggoner Park in the south. While paved along most of its length, the trail also features boardwalk as well as a 270-foot bridge over Johnson Creek.
Future plans will see this trail extended to Fort Worth but those are still in the early stages. A more immediate improvement will be extend the trail across the Trinity River. That 2-year project is expected to start in 2018.
You can park at the southern trailhead in C.P. Waggoner Park, where you can also find restrooms and a water fountain. If starting from the north end, park at the Mike Lewis Park, where amenities include pavilions, picnic tables, athletic fields, and restrooms.
Very noisy highways nearby. Lots of sun!
This only way this trail is 4.8 miles is if you measure it as a round trip and do a full loop around each park on either end. It also has a lot of unfilled expansion cracks and long slatted bridges. Not good if you are skating or roller blading. Other than that is is nice.
