Beginning near downtown Midland, the Grand Curve Trail travels east for over 4 miles. The trail starts at the rotunda that hosts the Midland Area Farmers Market, near the Tridge, a three-way bridge over the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee rivers. Initially, it remains close to the edge of the latter river, but then it skirts the edge of the Dow Diamond Baseball Stadium, into a linear park which includes Fournie Park. The trail weaves through the greenway until Washington Street, when crosses to the south side of Patrick Street, until its intersection with Illinois Drive.
The trail is useful for both recreational walks, rides or runs, and commuting. In addition, the trail connects to other regional trails at its western end. The famous Pere Marquette Rail-Trail continues north from that point, while you can cross the Tridge to connect to the Chippewa Trail and other trails.
Park at the end of Ashman Rd, at the parking for the Midland Area Farmers Market (111 W Main St, Midland).
