Bentonville's Heritage Trail is open in two disconnected segments. Both closely follow local roads, providing residents access to businesses, churches, parks and other trails in Bentonville's impressive network.
The eastern segment follows Central Avenue from downtown Bentonville to Interstate 49. Along the way, trail users can choose to make connections to the Razorback Regional Greenway, Moberly Lane Trail, Memorial Park Fitness Trail or John DeShields Trail. Take either of the latter two trails to reach popular Memorial Park. (You can also continue to Orchards Park via the John DeShields Trail.)
On the opposite side of downtown, the western segment follows SW I Street for its entire route. Highlights along the way include Lake Bentonville, Bentonville Municipal Airport and the new Bentonville Community Center.
Parking for the eastern segment can be found at Memorial Park (401 NE Martin Luther King Jr Parkway) in Bentonville. From the parking lot, take the John DeShields Trail east a short distance to reach the Heritage Trail at Central Avenue.
Parking for the western segment is available at Lake Bentonville (2100 SW I Street).
