The Kent Stein to Deep Lakes Park Trail (also known as the Wiggens Road Trail) provides an important connector in the southeast Iowa community of Muscatine, which is separated from Illinois by the Mississippi River. Opened in 2017, the 4-mile paved pathway winds its way from Deep Lakes Park at its southern end to Kent Stein Park at its northern terminus.
Kent Stein Park offers ball fields and numerous sports amenities across its 66 acres; trail users can also use its restrooms, drinking fountains and picnic shelters. The larger Deep Lakes Park has several ponds and lakes to enjoy. Recreational opportunities in the park include a beach at Lake Chester, as well as fishing, canoeing and hiking through sandy dunes and grassy areas.
Parking can be found on either end of the trail in Kent Stein Park and Deep Lakes Park.
