Ridgeland is a certified Bike Friendly community, not just for the Chisha Foka Multi-Use Trail, the crown jewel of the trail system, but also for the dozens of other bike facilities the city has provided for its residents to use. The Lake Harbour Drive Multi-Use Trail travels parallel to the road of the same name. It starts where Lake Harbour Drive meets US 51, beside City Hall, and then travels east past housing developments and small businesses.
At Pear Orchard Rd, which is perpendicular to Lake Harbour Drive, you can take that multiuse path north to Chisha Foka Trail. If you choose to continue east, you'll find Friendship Park on the other side of that intersection. The trail concludes at Old Canton Road.
With the extension of Lake Harbour Drive west over Interstate 55 in 2020, the trail now ends in the west at Highland Colony Parkway, giving trail users a convenient path above the busy highway.
The trail is paved and suitable for walking, running and biking, among other non-motorized uses.
Park at Friendship Park (475 Lake Harbour Dr, Ridgeland, MS). You'll also find restrooms, play areas, a fitness court, a lighted pavilion, and a walking trail.
