The city of Flowood's Liberty Road Bike Path is an asphalt sidepath trail that helps link together important destinations within the community, stretching from the Flowood Liberty Park and YMCA in the west to Winners Circle Park in the east.
Despite running right along the north side of Liberty Road, the trail is interrupted only by a few driveways along the route, and offers surprisingly pleasant scenery thanks to the wooded lands to the north of the road and a nicely landscaped median of grass and trees that buffers the trail from the street.
In the east, the trail turns north to follow Old Fannin Road, coming to an end by the entrance to Winners Circle Park, which hosts short walking trails and tennis courts. A short distance further east, the Wirtz Road Bike Path begins, allowing trail users to continue their stroll or commute through the Jackson suburbs.
Parking is available at either end of the trail: In the west, at Flowood Liberty Park at 694 Liberty Road, and in the east at Winners Circle Park at 100 Winners Circle.
