The Hugh Ward Boulevard Bike Path forms a convenient connection between the Wirtz Road Bike Path and the Spillway Road Multi-Use Trail, helping to form a surprisingly extensive network of trails for cyclists and pedestrians in the Rankin County communities of Flowood and Brandon. The trail, a wide concrete sidepath, runs along the roadside past suburban housing developments, helping area residents access the popular destinations along the shores of the Pelahatchie Bay.
No dedicated parking is provided for this trail, but businesses along Spillway Road may offer nearby access; be sure to follow any posted parking signs and regulations.
