Lake Williams is a 113-acre lake, situated in the heart of Marlborough, Massachusetts. Because of the sensitive nature of Lake Williams as a backup water supply, there is no fishing, no pets, and no water access.
About the Route
The lake's 1.5-mile-long trail loop runs through the shady woods near the lake shore through young woodland and mature stands of trees, across wetlands on boardwalks and provides a view at the top of the hill. The just-over-half-mile of floating boardwalk provides wonderful water views to enjoy. Trail users should note that the boardwalk does close seasonally.
Local birds often use the lake for feeding and especially during migration in spring and fall.
The Lake Williams Trail runs in a loop completely around the lake.
