Part of Manheim Township’s growing network of greenways, this multiuse trail is located in the southeastern part of the suburban municipality.
At its eastern end, this paved trail encircles Stoner Park as Stoner Park Path, then turns south towards Eden Road. Leaving the park, the route becomes the Lancaster Bible College Path. The trail takes a sharp turn west at Eden Road and heads south along the north side of that road—first as an asphalt sidepath and then a concrete sidewalk across the Route 222 overpass.
Highlights along this section of the trail include fitness stations, athletic fields, a volleyball court, picnic facilities and a playground in Stoner Park, picturesque vistas of the surrounding rolling hills and a colorful, detailed mural depicting a horse-pulled Conestoga wagon painted on the barn of a farm that is visible across Eden Road near Taylor Drive.
The surface once again becomes paved asphalt as the trail briefly curves northwest, paralleling the highway. Turning away from the highway and meandering north, the route features a boardwalk over the wetlands. At its northern end, the trail connects to the Worthington Pathway at the dead end of Alderwood Way.
Cyclists should use caution while descending the hills on the section between Winchester Drive and Eden Road and should dismount to cross the footbridge over a small stream. Trail users should also be careful when crossing the parking lot off Winchester Drive on the south side of Stoner Park and cyclists will need to use Eden Road along the westernmost section where it is only a sidewalk.
Parking is available at Stoner Park by the north entrance off Northbrook Drive and by the south entrance off Winchester Drive.
