Print Friendly MapPart of Manheim Township's growing network of greenways, the Oregon Dairy Pathway links the Oregon Dairy complex with the nearby Landis Homes retirement community. A little over a half a mile in length, the multi-use trail extends northwest from the parking lot behind the grocery store, passing between a cow pasture, farm fields and a small woodland to Locust Lane at the eastern end of Landis Homes. The last 500 feet of the trail in Landis Homes follows a concurrency with Locust Lane, passing wetlands and a duck pond; trail users should watch for motor vehicles on this segment.
The trail has a surface of crushed stone and gravel for most of its length, though the northwesternmost section along Locust Lane is asphalt. In addition to offering recreational opportunities for the residents of Landis Homes, the trail also provides an off-road connection between Oregon Dairy and neighborhoods further west that avoids a busy part of Route 722.
The nearby Kissel Hill Commons Trail is a paved, mile-long trail that extends across the mixed use subdivision for which it is named in the suburbs west of the Oregon Dairy Pathway.
Parking is available behind Oregon Dairy (2900 Oregon Pike) at the south end of the trail. Please do not park in the lots at Landis Homes.
