Liberty Park heads north from the west end of the Brighton East Rail Trail in Lexington. Following Liberty Road somewhat, the trail crosses Star Shoot Parkway, where it provides access to Liberty Park, Liberty Elementary and West Wind public pool. The trail is paved with asphalt and is a convenient place for folks from the adjacent Shetlands neighborhoods and beyond, to take a casual stroll, a bracing jog or walk their furry friends. If you are looking for a longer ride, continue onto the Brighton East Rail Trail for an additional two miles via a pedestrian bridge over Man o' War Boulevard, finished in 2021.
There is no designated parking for this trail.
Excellent connector to Brighton East Rail Trail. Limited parking at the school or on the road. Some parking on the Brighton East Trail end point at Walnut Grove Road.
