Legacy Trail (KY)

A few well placed signs would help

November, 2020 by dmisner_tl

Nice, peaceful, well maintained trail. My only complaint is that there were a handful of spots where riders weren’t given clear directions which way to go.

Lake Barkley Bridge Multiuse Path

a real jewel

November, 2020 by davemarshall54

After a barge knocked this bridge down at Lake Barkley and Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky they rebuilt it with a gorgeous new bridge with a dedicated bike path. The scenery is gorgeous, as is the lake. There is currently construction underway to expand it quite a bit. Worth the trip

Dawkins Line Rail Trail

Remote Trail Ride

October, 2020 by rtboughner_tl

We found the Royalton start and rode the trail to the 660 foot tunnel, about 4 miles. Crushed stone with some horse traffic, but no bikers on a Saturday in October. Next day found Haver Hill entrance, but with no parking readily available. Again no bikers.

Prestonsburg Passage Rail Trail

Warm October Day

October, 2020 by rtboughner_tl

Easy ride on new asphalt trail. Left from Archer Park and got to school bus trestle at 6.5 miles. Return for 13 mile round trip. Only comment is to watch the cross barriers that are tight to ride through if you are new to trail rides.

Prestonsburg Passage Rail Trail

Worth the drive from Ashland, KY

October, 2020 by howkimh

What a beautiful ride. This trail is very scenic and enjoyable. We loved the parking, which was at Archer Park where we felt safe leaving our vehicle. We will return (-:

Prestonsburg Passage Rail Trail

Great ride for all levels!

October, 2020 by cathiwells

Coolest school bus bridge ever! Has to be the flattest rail trail in Eastern Kentucky with a good asphalt cover which makes it a joy even for beginning riders! Foliage was just beginning to change when we were there. Going back in 2 weeks and I am sure it will be spectacular! AND there are portapotties along the trail for those that need them!

Paducah Greenway

Beautiful plus a bonus!

September, 2020 by kristopherdixon

We went riding on a beautiful day! We began on the end near river, and it was clean, sunny, and had some beautiful views. My 3 boys really enjoyed the ramps in the skateboarding park in Nobel Park. Afterwards the trail became wooded with crushed rock and was so peaceful and scenic. We passed by the disc golf course and the trail ended with an optional loop that I was told just became an extension about a year ago! It had hills and some bumps for fun. There is even a mountain bike practice area along this loop! I hope it generates more use once people find out about it.

Prestonsburg Passage Rail Trail

Refreshing

September, 2020 by fdfitz

Such a wonderful trail to walk and also imagine the Union and Confederate troops that traversed this same area over 155 years ago. Great views of a great portion of the Middle Creek National Battlefield.

Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail

Kind of rough

September, 2020 by strakusek01

This is a challenging 18 mile round trip ride. At the Park City end, trail maintenance is non-existent. Loose dangerous gravel, (where there is gravel), and narrow. This trail is not good for youngsters or very novice riders.

Louisville Loop

Fantastic!

September, 2020 by mcclurea6

We started at Pope Lick Park entrance, went to Broad Run Park, and then back, around 21 miles. The trail was either paved asphalt or concrete slabs. There were several bridges that crossed over the river. Several places to stop and use the bathroom. This app says there are bathrooms at Broad Run, but if there were, we could not find them and there were no signs, so we went back to the silo and used the restrooms there.

Prestonsburg Passage Rail Trail

Absolutely Wonderful!!!

September, 2020 by rmeek

Beautiful scenery ... painted railroad mile markers... each one unique. School Bus Covered Bridge.... Iron Bridge ...6 bridges in all. Deer and wildlife all along the trail. A uniquely wonderful ride or hike!!! Recommend it highly!!!

Prestonsburg Passage Rail Trail

What a gem!!

August, 2020 by davemarshall54

I rode this pristine brand new trail this week and was blown away with the beauty, the quality of asphalt and the coolest bridge ever! Worth the drive
