The Limestone Greenway follows the former Illinois Central Railroad for 1.7 miles south of Bloomington. It's a smooth, asphalt trail that's easy enough for people of all ages to enjoy. The pathway offers a rural, wooded experience, taking users under a lush tree canopy. At its northern trailhead on W. Church Lane, the Limestone Greenway connects to two other rail-trails for a longer journey: the Clear Creek Trail and the Bloomington Rail Trail (which in turn connects with the B-Line Trail).
A trailhead parking lot is available at the north end of the trail along W. Church Lane, 0.2 miles west of S. Roger Street.
