Located along the James River in a pleasant corner of northeastern Huron, the Memorial Park Trail provides a pathway to connect the city's Riverside and Memorial Parks, and also links up with the looping Ravine Lake Trail, creating a great system of paved trails for walking, jogging, and cycling. The trail runs throughout the 61-acre Memorial Park, which is home to a variety of recreational amenities, such as disc golf, baseball fields, and picnic and playground areas. Offering lovely views of the adjacent James River, the trail continues south along Jersey Avenue and a flood-control dike to reach Riverside Park, a small site mainly used as a fishing spot due to flooding issues caused by the river. A nice community asset, the Memorial Park Trail gives residents and visitors alike the perfect chance to get outside for some exercise and recreation!
Parking is available at Memorial Park, located on Waibel Drive just off of Jersey Avenue in Huron.
