Following the former Ulster & Delaware Railroad (U&D) corridor, the Midtown Linear Park is part of the Kingston Greenline. Running through Midtown between Westbrook Lane and Cornell Street, the ADA compliant trail is 12-feet wide and paved. Dogs on leashes are welcome.
For the surrounding communities, the trail offers a safe and efficient route for cyclists and pedestrians to access local businesses, schools, and other amenities. The trail also serves as a vital non-motorized transportation link between Midtown Kingston and the Kingston Plaza, which includes a major supermarket and an Ulster County bus transit hub.
Ulster County is working on converting 2.5 miles of the Ulster & Delaware corridor running between Highmount to Belleayre Beach in Shandaken to a multiuse trail with pedestrian bridges.
Ulster County Are Transit (UCAT) provides access to the trail. Visit the UCAT website to plan your route.
There is no parking available for this trail, but it may be possible to park in the nearby commercial lots. Be sure to follow the signs.
