MKT Trail (Waco) Description

Overview

The MKT (Waco) Trail is a 1.2-mile rail trail through East Waco, Texas. MKT stands for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad Company which operated along this corridor in the past. 

The trail is paved and offers half-mile markers, landscaping, benches and safe traffic crossings.

About the Route

The trail runs entirely along the former rail corridor in between Sherman St. in the south and Gholson Rd. in the north. At the corner of Faulkner Ln. and Garrison St. provides a central trailhead with informative signage.

Parking and Trail Access

The MKT (Waco) Trail runs between Sherman St. (East Waco) and Gholson Rd. (East Waco).

There is no designated parking along the route.
