Looping around Newton Lake, this trail winds through the park and is sheltered by trees. About 5 miles east of Philadelphia's city center, Newton Lake is situated along the borders between the borough of Collingswood and the townships of Oaklyn and Haddon. Although the surrounding neighborhoods are built on gentle slopes, the trail is mostly quite flat. Most of the trail is paved and accessible for those with mobility devices. However, please be aware sections of the trail have an unpaved dirt surface that can get quite muddy when it rains. The park has several playgrounds, picnic areas, a boating ramp, a garden, and areas to fish. Newton Lake Park provides a retreat from the busy urban areas that surround it and the trail is quite popular as a place to go hiking, biking, and birdwatching.
Parking is available in a lot by the intersection of White Pike Dr & Newton Lake Dr. The entrance to the parking lot is on Newton Lake Dr and the trail starts from the lot.
