The NIACC Trail in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, connects the campus of North Iowa Area Community College with the edge of downtown Mason City. The trail provides a convenient and safe alternative to biking or walking on busy US 18 for students and residents of the city. Although most of the route alongside Ideal Creek is through open fields, the NIACC Trail also passes a couple of residential subdivisions.
Parking for the NIACC Trail can be found at Asbury Park (just north of the intersection of S. Birch Dr. and US 18) or at North Iowa Area Community College's campus on College Drive.
This is a great short trail. It takes you from the east side of Mason City to NIACC. It’s a scenic trail at some points. Traveling cyclist Facebook
