Overview
The Niagara River Greenway Shoreline Trail runs between Old Fort Niagara, and Buffalo, NY for 40.3 miles. The trail is entirely paved and wheelchair accessible.
The trail is a project of the Niagara River Greenway and comprises a number of smaller trails.
About the Route
Leaving from Old Fort Niagara on the shores of Lake Ontario, the first section of the Shoreline Trail is the Kiwanis Park Trail which wanders south from the lakeshore. There is a brief on-road section along N 9th St. on Lewiston before the trail becomes the Niagara Scenic Parkway Trail, and travels alongside the most scenic sections of Niagara Falls and the surrounding town.
The trail runs along the Niagara River until reaching the North Grand Island bridge. The West River Shoreline Trail runs south along the western shore of Grand Island before turning north in Ferry Village until reaching the South Grand Island Bridge and heading south along back alongside the western edge of the Niagara River as the Shoreline Trail.

The Niagara River Greenway Shoreline Trail comprises the Kiwanis Park Trail, Niagara Scenic Parkway Trail, West River Shoreline Trail, and the Shoreline Trail.
The Niagara River Greenway Shoreline Trail connects to the Devil's Hole Trail and the Great Gorge Railway Trail in Niagara Falls.
The Niagara River Greenway Shoreline Trail runs between Old Fort Niagara, 102 Morrow Plaza (Youngstown), and Buffalo Lakeside Commerce Park, 134-80 Ship Canal Pkwy. (Buffalo), with parking options on either end.
