Pantano River Park Trail Description

The Pantano River Park Trail follows Pantano Wash northwest from a junction with the Harrison Greenway to Tanque Verde Road, providing direct trail access to thousands of residents of Tucson. The smoothly paved trail features undercrossings at every road, allowing for safe and uninterrupted travel throughout.

A future extension will continue the trail northwest to the Rillito River Park Trail. Both trails, along with the Harrison Greenway, are integral components of a larger trail network called The Loop that will one day encompass 130 miles of trail throughout Tucson and Pima County.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking for the Pantano River Park Trail is available at a trailhead on S. Pantano Parkway, north of E. Golf Links Road. A second trailhead with parking can be found at the intersection of E. Centrepark Drive and E. Palace Park Loop.

Pantano River Park Trail Reviews

Nicely Done

s

We started on the east end of the trail at the Michael Perry Park (nice park and plenty of parking). Rode to the west end of the trail. Path is plenty wide and smooth. Did have to detour to the west side of the "river" at Speedway, as a new main road bridge is being built across the river bed. The trail does end a short distance from the Tanque Verde road crossing. All the street crossings are under the main roads. Other trail users were generally friendly with a good morning. The east end of the trail connects to the Harrison Road trail. Over all enjoyed the ride. Would recommend this one while in Tucson.
