Overview
The Pittsfield Rail Trail is a 8.4-mile rough surface trail that runs between Hartland and Pittsfield. The rail-trail is primarily a snowmobiling trail, but it is open for walking and biking.
About the Route
From its northern end on Canaan Road in Hartland, the Pittsfield Rail Trail runs south through fields, farms and woods roughly following the Sebasticook River. After passing Douglas Pond, the route heads through a golf course and into Pittsfield, where it passes a school and through residential areas. The southern end of the trail is on Central Street in Pittsfield.
