Powerhouse Canal Pathway Description

Yakima's Powerhouse Canal Pathway begins in Chesterley Park, where you'll find soccer fields, a skate park and picnic shelters with grills. From there, the paved trail heads southeast along the canal soon passing Robertson Elementary School, providing a safe walking and biking route for young students. Just past the school, there's a short break in the trail at W. Lincoln Avenue, which can be bridged with travel along the sidewalk. After the gap, the trail swings northeast to McGuinness Park, which offers a playground, basketball court and more picnic tables.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking and restrooms are available on the west end of the trail in Chesterley Park at the intersection of River Road and N. 40th Avenue in Yakima.
