Quonset Point Bike Path Description

Beginning from Calf Pasture Point Beach, the Quonset Point Bike Path offers a short-but-sweet path across North Kingstown on Rhode Island's eastern coastline. The 2.5-mile paved pathway is ideal for biking, walking, inline skating, and other outdoor pursuits.

North Kingstown offers a plethora of shops, nearby beaches, and a ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard. For history buffs, the area has an interesting World War II naval past; visitors can check out the Seabee Museum and Memorial Park, just off the southwestern end of the trail, to learn more.

Parking and Trail Access

From Route 4, take Exit 7 to Route 403. Exit to Route 1 (Post Road) and head left. Take your first right on Gate Road and turn left into the shops at Quonset Point Plaza. The trail starts behind the plaza, off Newcomb Road. You may also park at the eastern end of the trail between the Quonset Point Bike Path and Sanford Road Path. Continue down Gate Road to a traffic circle. Head left on Davisville Road, then left on Marine Road to the parking lot.

Quonset Point Bike Path Reviews

Avid Runner

Started my run from the Home goods location and it was pretty easy to get on the bath. Park in the main lot, Take the road that leads around back to the left of the store and there is a foot path that connects you. When starting from this location the path is longer than what is said on the official length. I’d say it more like 3.5-4 miles. Other that that its a beautiful trail the brings you all the way to the water front.

Good Short Walk

Park at end of Marine Rd NK. NOT by Home Goods. good 1.25 mile walk each way . Many areas of the trail is in the shade.

Great trail

The trail leads down to the ocean and it’s just a gorgeous view! Not a lot of parking, but never overcrowded.
