Reed Creek Greenway Description

The Reed Creek Greenway is a short but pleasant multiuse path that connects downtown Asheville to the University of North Carolina campus. The trail starts on Magnolia Avenue and parallels the creek and Broadway Avenue north to WT Weaver Boulevard. There it is able to connect to the Botanical Gardens and Weaver Park via another bike-ped route, the Glenn Creek Greenway.

The Reed Creek Greenway offers a slice of nature for residents of the adjacent historic Montford neighborhood. It's neatly landscaped, with benches, trash and recycling receptacles and pet waste conveniently provided. The trail is paved and there are bollards placed at each street access point to prevent motorized users.

Parking and Trail Access

There is street parking along Magnolia Avenue. Remember to follow any posted parking regulations.
