Overview
The Rock Island Trail in Jackson County, Missouri runs for 17 miles from the edge of Kansas City, southeast towards Lee's Summit.
About the Route
Leaves off from the Arrowhead Stadium on the outskirts of Kansas City, Missouri, and meanders southeast from there. The trail winds through Raytown and a mix of wooded corridors and urbanized corridors, providing both a nice natural escape, as well as connections to local communities.
South of Raytown, the trail skirts the Little Blue Valley Park and the Little Blue River meanders alongside the trail. Near the south end of the trail, the trail crosses through Charles David Hartman Park, which offers softball fields, playgrounds, and concession stands. Just past this park, the trail comes to an end at SW Jefferson St.
