The Rowlett Creek Trail matches the course of its namesake waterway. The trail starts at Bolin Park and head west, the begins to meander north before coming to a fork. The west branch winds along West Rowlett Creek and divides again and again, with the furthest one reaching SR 121 (Sam Rayburn Tollway). The east branch heads up through the Golf Club at Twin Creeks, across Exchange Parkway, then under Ridgeview Drive up to SR 121.
Parking is currently available at Bolin Park (McDermott and Twin Creeks Drive).
Wasn’t impressed. Poorly marked at the beginning portion of the trail and through the golf course area. It appears the narrow paths through the golf course are the old golf cart paths and most are in badly need of repair and should be widen or upgraded completely. Trail connected to McKinney's Craig Ranch, but didn't go much more than a mile north of 121. So close to Frisco and Plano, I would have thought there would be better signage and connecting trails, disappointing.
Wasn’t impressed. Narrow pathes, not overly clean. Was hoping trails from McKinney can connect into Allen and Plano but not so much.
