Print Friendly MapTh St. Ellen is a mile-long paved recreational trail in O'Fallon, Illinois. The trail connects residents of the nearby neighborhoods to local schools as well as the St. Ellen Mine Park, a former coal strip mine. The park has it's own 1.2-mile walking path looping around its perimeter, as well as amenities like a park pavilion, benches and a lake on the west side. Wildlife that might be seen on or around the trail include deer, raccoons and grey squirrels as well as peregrine falcons and other birds.
Park at Saint Ellen Mine Park (200 St. Ellen Mine Road, O'Fallon, Illinois).
