Th St. Ellen is a mile-long paved recreational trail in O'Fallon, Illinois. The trail connects residents of the nearby neighborhoods to local schools as well as the St. Ellen Mine Park, a former coal strip mine. The park has it's own 1.2-mile walking path looping around its perimeter, as well as amenities like a park pavilion, benches and a lake on the west side. Wildlife that might be seen on or around the trail include deer, raccoons and grey squirrels as well as peregrine falcons and other birds.
