The State Highway 93 Trail sits on the east side of the highway, stretching from North Table Mountain Park down to New Loveland Mine Park. The concrete trail slopes downhill from its north end, providing access to residential developments, restaurants and breweries, schools and parks. It also intersects with other trails in Golden's growing network, including the Tucker Gulch Trail and the Magpie Gulch Trail that leads out of New Loveland Mine Park.
Park at the North Table Mountain Park- West Trailhead (4788 CO-93, Golden, CO). On the south end, you can find parking at New Loveland Mine Park (1309 5th St, Golden).
We begin our ride on the State Highway 93 Trail on its northern end at Golden’s North Table Mountain Park (the park’s West Trailhead). The park is in a beautiful area with other (unpaved) trails to explore. We rode this trail for about 1 mile south to its connection with the Tucker Gulch Trail (near the intersection of Mesa Drive and Joseph Circle) and enjoyed both trails. Although the State Highway 93 Trail parallels the roadway, there’s a nice median in between with native grasses and wildflowers, as well as the occasional wall, so the experience felt safe and pleasant.
