This short sidepath provides a useful connection between several trails in the ten mile system of bike paths within the city of Sturgis. Beginning near the intersection of Butte View Drive and Dolan Creek Road, the path follows the latter through a residential area, crossing Moose Drive (and the Moose Drive Bike Path) and running under the interstate. The trail ends at Sturgis Elementary School, next to the large baseball field. While not much of a destination trail, it provides a safe means for neighborhood children to get across the interstate and also links to the Ballpark Drive Trail on the eastern end.
Parking may be available at the eastern end at Sturgis Elementary; be sure to follow any posted signs and regulations.
To reach the trail from the direction of Rapid City, take I-90 north towards Sturgis, and take exit 32. Proceed on Junction Ave, and take a left onto Ballpark Road. The school and the start of the trail will be on the right.
