The Swampscott Rail Trail is a developing rail-trail in the North Shore community of Swampscott. The trail, when complete will extend two miles through the heart of the town ending with a seamless connection to the Marblehead Rail Trail on its east end. As at December 2020, 600 feet of stone-dust trail have been completed in Beach Bluff, linking up to the Marblehead Trail. Another 500 feet to Bradlee Street is underway. Though short, the trail gives a taste of what to expect when the two miles is completed: ten-foot wide stone dust trail that's flat and easy to use for visitors of all ages.
There is no dedicated parking, but the trail can be approached on foot or by bike.
