Overview
The Tigard Heritage Trail connects Tiedeman Avenue and the surrounding area to downtown Tigard. Following the route of a former railroad spur, the rail-trail is 0.75 miles long and fully paved. Trees and plantings make the short route a pleasant experience.
About the Route
The northern end of the rail-trail is next to 11350 SW Tiedeman Avenue. From there, the trail curves southeast as it parallels SW Tigard Street and an active rail line. The road is on the west side of the trail and the rail line is on the east, separated from trail by trees and a fence.
The southern end of the rail-trail is in downtown Tigard next to 12345 SW Main Street. There are several restaurants and cafes, as well as a local brewery.
Connections
From the southern end of the trail, briefly head south along SW Main Street to connect to the Fanno Creek Greenway.
The Tigard Heritage Trail runs between 11350 SW Tiedeman Ave (Tigard) and 12345 SW Main St (Tigard). These are not official addresses for the trail.
There is no designated parking for the trail, but the store parking lots at the southern end may be an option. Pay attention to signage as there may be limitations.
The TriMet bus system has several stops that provide access to the trail and there is a Tigard TC WES Station at the southern end of the trail.
