Tucker Gulch Trail adds over a mile of trail to Golden's developing trail network. The continues from the north end of the Clear Creek Trail and continues along Tucker Gulch, through residential areas, until Highway 93 where it meets another multi-use path. It's important to note that the trail slopes upwards from the Clear Creek end, along a converted railroad bed, but the good news is that it's all downhill on the way back to the start point.
You can start at Vanover Park (, take the Clear Creek Trail to beneath Golden Freeway/ SR 58 and pick up the Tucker Gulch Trail at 7th Street. There is a trailhead with ample parking located on Golden Gate Canyon Road. Parking is also available at Norman D. Memorial Park (698 N Ford St, Golden, CO).
We begin the Tucker Gulch Trail on its northwestern end at a connection with the State Highway 93 Trail (near the intersection of Mesa Drive and Joseph Circle in Golden). From there, we headed southeast, through Norman D. Memorial Park, quiet neighborhoods, and scenic natural areas until reaching the Golden Freeway underpass. It was just over a mile of riding and a very pleasant experience.
