The Umbarger Road Parkway parallels its namesake road for just over 0.5 mile between Plumas Drive and Tuers Road in a narrow strip of greenspace surrounded by suburbia. The similar Barberry Walkway is just a stone's throw from the trail's northern endpoint but is currently unreachable due to the significant barrier of US 101.
There is no official parking for the trail, although you can access it from Baysmill Court by Windmill Springs Elementary School at the northeast end (some parking) and anywhere along Umbarger Road between the two endpoints. You can park along Umbarger Road.
