Village Creek Trail Description

Village Creek Trail is an scenic hike and bike trail connecting River Legacy Park to Village Creek Historic Area Park. The trail is wide concrete, and is generally quite flat.  At the north end, the trail connects to the River Legacy Trail along the Trinity River within the 1300-acre park. At the south end, the trail cuts through Bob Findlay Linear Park as well as the Village Creek Historic Area, a 135-acre park whose name is a reminder of the Native American villages that once occupied the creek's banks.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at Village Creek Historical Area Park, 2605 Dottie Lynn Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76012 and at River Legacy Park (701 NW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington).

Village Creek Trail Reviews

Ride approx 23 miles if you want! ¿

This 5 mile section of trail runs along a busy road, and is in the sun, BUT I’m so glad it’s there because Village Creek blends into River Legacy Park trail system, giving you approx 25 miles round trip! It’s a wide concrete trail about 5 ft from the road in most areas. (I feel safe riding here.) That being said, this trail system will be even longer once they open the new section of trail! The plan is to connect trails between Fort Worth and Dallas. I understand that new system will be called Discovery Trail which will be over 100 miles!
