The Waialua Beach Road Bike Path offers a two-lane asphalt pathway along the south side of Waialua Beach Road/State Route 82 in the small North Shore community of Waialua. The setting is mainly residential and agricultural. It is pretty level, making for an easy walk, run or ride. According to the Oahu Bike Plan, 0.3 miles of new trail will be added on Goodale Avenue in 2021 to allow cyclists and pedestrians on the Waialua Beach Bike Path to safely access Waialua District Park and Waialua Elementary School.
Parking and restrooms are available mid-trail at the Waialua District Park (67-180 Goodale Ave, Waialua).
A nice safe route (even in the dark) to get to Haleiwa town center. The bike trail ends at the traffic circle before you get to Haleiwa but there is sufficient pavement on the left hand side to allow you to cycle safely from that point into Haleiwa. Best to take it easy, as we encountered quad bikes, motocross bikes, cyclists, joggers and pedestrians along the trail.
