Willow Trail Description

La Crosse's marshlands sit on a thousand acres in the heart of the city. The wetlands occur where the La Crosse and Mississippi rivers meet. The Marsh Trail Network is a cluster of paved and unpaved trails provided by the city to allow residents and visitors to explore this watery habitat of fish, birds and wildlife.

The Willow Trail picks up on Lang Drive, across from the Vietnam Veterans Trail, which travels west to the banks of the Mississippi River. The Willow Trail is short, barely longer than half a mile, but it is an important connector, linking the aforementioned Veterans Memorial Trail with the Grand Crossing Trail. The trail is asphalt and is open for pedestrians, cyclists and other non-motorized users.
