Just slightly longer than a mile, the Winfred H. Bonner Trail offers a paved, pleasant walk or bike ride through the north end of Georgetown along the tree-lined San Gabriel River.
About mid-trail, a pedestrian bridge across the river allows access to San Gabriel Park, which has a loop trail and many recreational amenities. On its east end, the trail also provides access to the McMaster Athletic Complex, which offers softball fields, sand volleyball courts, restrooms, and picnic areas.
Along the north bank of the San Gabriel River, you can also enjoy the Randy Morrow Trail, which winds through Rivery Park and Booty’s Road Park.
A large parking lot is available on the east end of the trail at the McMaster Athletic Complex (101 W. L. Walden Drive). You can also park in nearby San Gabriel Park (445 E. Morrow Street) on the north side of the San Gabriel River.
