Love riding on the Silver Trail great for me. Those of us who have to ride in wheelchairs, come on out to the trails and enjoy the fresh air. You will love it.

Chief Ladiga Trail

Piedmont to the GA line

A great ride with lots of shade and beautiful scenery. The trail only has slight inclines, so no big hills to climb and overall the trail is well kept. However, there are a few places where tree roots have lifted the asphalt - these were marked once but are hard to see until you’re right up on them. It was a very nice, relaxing day on a fairly easy trail.

Heritage Park Trail

Needs to be Resurfaced

I have rode the trail numerous times and it is getting in worst shape. A lot of bumps where roots have grown under the asphalt causing it to rise up. ROME -----Please keep the maintenance up and the cut back the brush so people can see the River..

South Chickamauga Creek Greenway

very scenic, boardwalks slippery

September, 2020 by mlcbear

Very nice trail, away from traffic , not busy. We headed out around 9:30 am. It had rained overnight. A couple of the wooden board walks were like oil. I went down twice. By the time we road to the end & turned around only the one was still slick. If it has rained I would recommend riding this in the afternoon. It is almost completed shaded, so it would be rideable. My only other complaint is there were a couple places trees had taken out part of the railing. At one it had taken out the flooring. I would have given this 5 stars, if not for needed repairs & slick boards. out part of the boardwalk

....start at Ditto Landing early Saturday morning and ride to St. Thomas Episcopal Church for their Saturday morning Farmer’s Market. Great scenery along the way. Wildflowers and small wildlife - honeysuckle along the creek banks and turtles sunning on the rocks.

Sunset Drive Trail

Nice View

Beautiful view...I found this trail while searching for paved bike trails. It’s too short for trying to get high miles in but great for walking.

Chattanooga Riverwalk (Tennessee Riverpark)

Fantastic trail!

I biked this with my family last month. Definitely one of the best bike paths I’ve ridden on. Not crowded, flat, and gorgeous scenery! Part of the trail was closed but there is a detour around it (if you’re coming from downtown, you turn into the big parking lot and follow the highway, and turn left after the railroad tracks. That road veers to the right and then you’re back in business). There were bathrooms nicely spaced out and even some water stations. Highly recommend and will becoming back!

Silver Comet Trail

One of the Best in the Land

Of all of the trails I have ridden on across the country this is one of the best maintained and secure trails there is. Yes, secure as it is patrolled by several county sheriffs that it passes through. I have ridden this trail start to finish and back encountering the sheriff for the county almost every time. It's one of Georgia's best kept activity trails if not across the nation.

Nice Trail, but...

Bike riders are a bit aggressive. Sad to see some on foot walking off the pavement for the sake of a biker to keep their pace. Slow down.

Beware of ATV's and Motorcycles

I rode the trail on Sunday, May 31st. I encountered a couple of motorcycles and two atvs, driving at high rates of speed near the Dallas trailhead. Be careful out there.

A great ride to the Georgia State Line. Great scenery along the way and about 3 miles from the Georgia State line is a nice little campground along a creek with bathhouse, campsites with tables and a lot of friendly folks. We started at Piedmont trailhead the first day and spent the night at the campground. The Chief Ladiaga campground is small but well kept. The bathhouse is clean and has basic tent sites. After breakfast we woke up and road to the Georgia state line and back to Piedmont the second day.
The trail does go through a few small towns with bike friendly restaurants. The trail has clean rest stops to refill water bottles and take a nap if needed. The only negative is the asphalt trail is somewhat rough in places. Tree roots have made unexpected ripples in the pavement and give you a surprise bump in the road on several segments of the trial. The closer to the state line you get the rougher it gets. Some bike trail angels have painted white lines onto of the roots to prevent accidents and it helps.
Other than a root little surprise every now and then it is still a well kept scenic route with bridges, farms and views to remember for a good days ride. Have fun

Sunset Drive Trail

Relaxing, slightly rolling trail along water and through trees. Plenty of benches and tables. I'm really glad I found this one.
