Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes

Rode the whole route and it was grins the whole way. I was a self contained tourist rided 38 mm tires and it was like a smooth road with no cars. FANTASTIC.

North Idaho Centennial Trail

Good dirt trail that I had no problem with 40 pound self contained load and 38 mm tires. Fun and beautiful trail. would love to do it again.

Columbia Plateau Trail State Park

This is a rough surface trail through some beautiful country. I rode through on 38 mm but wish I had 2 plus inch tires.

Fish Lake Trail

this is a paved bike trail that is almost level. the end connector is fenced off by the railroad so there is no legal connection to the Columbia Plateau Trail unless you go out on the road for a few miles.

Century Ride!

Rode the entire trail from Mullan to Plummer back to Rose Lake and then back to Harrison to do 100 miles. Perfect weather and the scenery was so outstanding the miles just flew by! Absolutely loved this trail ! I went early July.

Outstanding Trail

I road a section of the beginning of this trail from Plummer, ID to the famous Chatcolet Bridge, and another section from Osborn, ID to Mullan, ID. This is an outstanding paved trail with beautiful scenery. The sections I road were fairly easy for riding. I will definitely be riding this trail when in the area again.

Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail

Redmond to Roslyn via Palouse to Cascade Trail

June, 2019 by forest.hoag

I was turning 44 years old and decided to ride the west section of the Palouse to Cascade trail for some needed alone time. Left Redmond at about 8am and made it to North Bend at about 9:45, where I swapped out my road tires for some slightly wider road tires (32c). A road bike with gravel tires is fine for most of this ride.

Began slogging up the railroad grade. Saw lots of rock climbers, picnickers, and a few cyclists. Weather was warm and it was beautiful. Take a lot of water and snacks, because there is no where to refresh unless you bring a filter.

My legs were getting pretty cooked by the time I made it to the tunnel. I was expecting the temp to drop, but did not realize my legs would instantly cramp from the cold! That was a little weird, being a mile into a dank, dark tunnel with legs spazzing into knots.

Made it out, and drug myself another two miles up to the summit for lunch. Calories please!

Continued on to Easton, then Roslyn, then up to the little town of Ronald to meet my family at an Airbnb.

Total miles: 97.5
Totally calories: 5780!

Beautiful ride on a great trail

May, 2019 by tlockman11

We really enjoyed our mid-May ride of this beautiful trail . The trail itself is in great shape, cyclists facilities are plentiful and well maintained and the sights along the Trail are great to experience. I can't wait to tackle more of this trail next time we get to Idaho. Can't recommend this trail highly enough!
