The concrete trail has some cracks, but it well maintained. The trail also connects several short side trails along the way. The creek is very scenic and the trail follows it most of the time.
We rode the entire trail on our recent stay in Rapid City. There’s some construction and one detour the day we rode. Otherwise a fun easy ride. It mostly runs beside Rapid Creek and there are plenty of places to stop and enjoy the serenity of the creek. It runs through the city’s many parks.
This a gem of a trail for Rapid City. We always look for bike trails (RVing) as we travel, and this one is excellent...biked it 2x while staying at Lake Park RV (also excellent if u are RVing, btw.)
Great green space bike path. We're from Wisconsin and stopped over to ride the trail last week. Well planned and a jewel for the city.
