Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County and Salisbury's Promise have combined forces to do a neighborhood clean up day in the Westover Neighborhood of Salisbury, MD. This neighborhood is home to a Habitat home and family, and is in great need of clean up. Volunteers will do yard clean up (at the property and surrounding area), landscaping, build picnic tables, create and hide kindness rocks, do face painting for neighborhood children. Our event will partner with local schools and churches. Our project will help the residents of this home, as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Many families in our targeted area lack the necessary resources (financial and physical) to do this type of activity on their own. Teachers and local church members will connect as well to residents served.
