The Killens Pond Bike Trail provides non-motorized access from US 13 to Killens Pond State Park. The short trail parallels Killens Pond Road before turning south into the park along its main access road. Note that the trail surface changes from asphalt to crushed stone once it enters the park property.
Outside the park, the trail passes Lake Forest High School, providing a safe route to school for its students. Within the park, the trail provides access to its office, sports complex and popular water park. Connecting nature trails lead from the bike trail to the park’s central feature, a millpond established in the late 18th century.
Killens Pond State Park is located in central Kent County, just south of the town of Felton. From US 13 south, turn left onto Killens Pond Road. The park will be on the right, just after Lake Forest High School. Ample parking can be found within the park.
Very easy bike riding trail that takes you from inside of the park to the outside and back. I've ran this course as well and while not exciting, it's not bad either.
