Traversing the western edge of Dover, the Hazlettville/North Shared-Use Path is a sidepath trail that follows the southern side of Hazlettville Road and W North Street, providing a wide asphalt surface to accommodate cyclists and pedestrians.
Functional rather than pretty, the trail gives residents of the newer subdivisions on the city's outskirts an option to access the center of town without a car. On the western end, a short spur leads into Schutte Park and the Pitts Recreation Center, connecting families with the playground and recreation facilities. The trail intersects with another sidepath along the P.O.W./M.I.A. Parkway, which runs over three miles to the south, before it comes to an end at S West Street by the railroad tracks.
Parking is available at Schutte Park, located at 10 Electric Avenue just south of Hazlettville Road. Dover's DART buses also have several stops along the trail route; consult their site for exact routes and schedules.
