Dover's Silver Lake Park Trail is a short and pleasant paved trail that runs through the city's Silver Lake Park, a popular recreation site for (licensed) fishing, family outings, and relaxing strolls. The trail forms the northern capstone on a system of trails that runs along the Saint Jones River through the area - the Capital City Trail continues outside the park grounds and leads into the historic area that hosts the First State Heritage Park and the state capitol building.
Perfect for those looking for a shaded walk or a family bike ride, the Silver Lake Park Trail is a great way of exploring one of Dover's most scenic spots.
Parking is available at the park, accessible via Lewis Mill Drive off of Kings Highway NE. Dover's DART buses also have several stops near the park entrance; consult their site for exact routes and schedules.
