The Bol Park Path is a charmer that threads through a peaceful Palo Alto neighborhood in the hills south of San Francisco. At its heart is Bol Park, a strip of playground and lawn laid alongside Matadero Creek. The area was once home to a donkey pasture, and two donkeys remain to greet visitors from a private corral just off the trail.
The trail is also popular with students who use the path to reach Gunn High School at the trail's southern end on weekdays.
There is very limited parking along the road at the Hanover Street end point. Parking lots in the area are for private businesses. Consider parking along Laguna Avenue at Bol Park instead.
