The Permanente Creek Trail offers a linear route through the suburban city of Mountain View, beginning at Shoreline At Mountain View and heading south to Rock Street. The paved pathway includes safe passage over Highway 101 with a bicycle and pedestrian bridge.
The 750-acre park at its northern tip borders the San Francisco Bay and offers a golf course, lake, and trails with mountain views and abundant wildlife. Just south of the park, the trail runs adjacent to the campus of Google’s headquarters and continues on to Crittenden Middle School. Plans to extend the trail farther south through the school’s campus to Middlefield Road are underway as of 2016.
Parking is available at the north end of the trail within Shoreline At Mountain View.
Permanente Creek Trail provides good access to the San Francisco Bay Trail from many points in Mountain View.
