This bike path begins along Southwest Boulevard at Harding Highway (US 40). It continues alongside the boulevard, then crosses Central Avenue and slipping into Bruno Melini Memorial Park, Buena’s athletic park with provides facilities for a range of sports including baseball, basketball and tennis. The path forms a loop at the western end of Melini Park, but a spur from the loop continues northwest through a wooded corridor before emerging into fields of wheat and rye. Trail users then cross Brewster Road (State Route 672 ), and conclude their journey near Blackwater Pond Park.
Despite its name, the bike path is open to cyclists, joggers, dog-walkers and other non-motorized trail uses. There are benches along the more urban parts of the trail. Out in the more remote areas, one might encounter rabbits, turkeys and other wildlife.
Free parking is available at Bruno Melini Park (616 Central Ave, Minotola) or Blackwater Pond Park (S Brewster Rd, Vineland).
I enjoyed this bike trail. Great for the non-pro riders who just wanted a nice bike ride. The trail begins at the park. Paved trail with no difficult hills.
Mostly shaded. Ride continues past a meadow which I am sure will be beautiful in the fall. It is a short trail, approx 2 mi but was good enough for me! It may be perfect for the families who ride with younger kids.
