Central Anoka County Regional Trail Description

The Central Anoka County Regional Trail runs through Anoka County in the suburbs of Minneapolis/Saint Paul. When completed, it will be 26 miles long. As of 2019, four sections have been built, totaling 18.3 miles.

The trail begins in Mississippi West Regional Park, where it meets the Mississippi River Regional Trail. The trail runs on a sidewalk along Ramsey Blvd until just south of Bunker Lake Blvd. There is a gap of a few hundred feet, then the trail resumes as a paved path along Bunker Lake Blvd. This is the longest completed trail segment. Here, the trail passes several parks, including Rivers’ Bend Park and Bunker Hills Regional Park. At the Rum River, the trail connects to the Rum River Regional Trail. There are also shopping centers along Bunker Lake Blvd.

There is another gap between Jefferson St NE and SR 65 in Ham Lake. The trail continues along Bunker Lake Blvd until it abruptly ends after Radisson Rd NE. The last section of the trail starts at I-35W in Lino Lakes and runs along Main St. This section passes through Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve, then goes through the town of Centerville. The Central Anoka County Regional Trail ends at Forest Blvd, where it intersects the Hardwood Creek Regional Trail.
