The Chamblee Rail Trail, also known as the Keswick Park Extension Trail, is situated in Chamblee, a community northeast of Atlanta. Heading through downtown as it follows the abandoned Roswell Junction Railroad line, the paved pathway provides important community connections. Natural landscaping and trees keep the route pleasant, while many businesses and restaurants are just steps away. Almost 2 miles long, the rail-trail is 12ft wide and paved.
At its northern end, sits the city’s largest park, Keswick Park. The park has a variety of sports fields and courts, an event lawn, a playground, a dog park, picnic shelters and tables, restrooms, drinking fountains, benches, pet waste stations, and parking.
At the south end of the park, the trail forks with a short branch heading west to Jefferson Circle North. The main route heads south from the park and passes under busy Peachtree Boulevard.
After briefly paralleling Clairmont Road, there is another split in the trail. A short spur of the trail continues south to Peachtree Road, while the main route curves east under Clairmont Road.
As the trail crosses Chamblee Tucker Road, the Chamblee MARTA train station s just two blocks south of the trail on New Peachtree Road. Continuing east through downtown Chamblee, the trail comes to its southwest end on Pierce Drive.
Long-term plans include linking the pathway into the rapidly-developing regional trail network.
MARTA provides public transit options along the route, including numerous bus stops and the Chamblee train station.
At the northern end of the trail, parking is available in Keswick Park (3496 Keswick Dr, Chamblee). ADA accessible parking is available.

Nice trail for a quick family walk but too short for much more than a stroll.
For it being just over a half mile it's a nice little trail. It was done very well. It's not much use for a serious walker, jogger or bicyclist but it's nice for a casual walk or to go on with kids.
The online map doesn't show where to park. We parked by Five Guys in the Walmart shopping center but there is also parking on the Keswick Park side by the adult softball field.
I hope there are plans for an extension. I drive to the Roswell/Alpharetta Greenway & Silver Comet on a weekly basis. Would love to have something closer to home. I LOVE Chamblee but we sorely lack a good trail.
Awesome Trail!
